One of the most beloved teams in the Indian Premier League, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) entered the 2025 season with renewed energy and experience. The franchise is owned by Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited, a subsidiary of India Cements, and is under the guidance of long-time captain MS Dhoni and head coach Stephen Fleming. A few days later, CSK welcomed Royal Challengers Bangalore at home on March 28, followed by a challenging away match against Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati on March 30. The month of April proved to be a busy one with two consecutive matches. On April 5, they played Delhi Capitals in Chennai at 3:30 PM, and then headed north to play Punjab Kings in New Chandigarh on April 8. A high-voltage match was played against Kolkata Knight Riders at Chepauk on April 11, and three days later, on April 14, CSK will take on Lucknow Super Giants in Lucknow at 7:30 PM.

The second half of April saw some notable matches. On April 20, CSK once again visited Wankhede to play against Mumbai Indians, keeping the fiercest rivalry in the IPL alive. They returned home to play against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 25 and Punjab Kings at Chepauk on April 30. The team then changed its pace in May, playing important matches against RCB in Bengaluru on May 3 and KKR at Eden Gardens on May 7. The Super Kings’ final leg included a home match against Rajasthan Royals on May 12 and the last league match against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad on May 18 at 3:30 PM, a rare afternoon match in the scorching heat.

The 2025 season ended with a memorable performance for CSK. On May 25, they secured a powerful 83-run win over Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad, showcasing the team’s batting depth and bowling control. Devon Conway and Dewald Bruis hit half-centuries to take CSK to 230/5, but their bowlers bowled out GT’s batting lineup for just 147 runs. This brilliant finish not only highlighted CSK’s dominance in crucial matches, but also proved why the team is one of the most consistent and admired franchises in the league.
